How do I switch on Wireless Capability on my Toshiba Satellite L450 laptop?

I have tried looking at pictures, but can't see clearly enough. I have an older Satellite and the Wifi switch is on the front, to the left of the two holes for headphones and microphone. It is a slide switch. Mine slides to the right and an orange light shows that the wifi is on.
