Why did Mohamed use "The Carrot and the Stick" (Heaven, Hell and a Muslim) method?

Mohammed used this method because it was the method of the people he copied from. Most of the Qur'an is made up of Jewish Midrashes and Christian Apocrypha and Zooraster teachings Mohammed copied from these sources and made up his fairy tell religion.
