Does this years crop of 3 year olds seem weak compared to prior Kentucky Derby's; will we see a late bloomer?

The horse that could be the late bloomer is Midnight Interlude ? Was very impressive winning his first race last start,covered a lot of extra ground and was baulked and checked at the furlong, but showed maturity to still go on and win. He is my biggest threat to Dialled In ,who I reckon is the horse to beat.
